What is Real-Time Ridesharing?
Of course, if you’re more of a creature of habit you can input your commute schedule in advance and search through the system ahead of time to see what options are available – just remember, you’ll be missing out on all those spontaneous, real-time users that may only log on a few minutes before you place to leave!
Money, Prizes and Fun Things…
Avego technology helps riders and drivers to share the cost of commuting by automating a micro-payment based on the distance of the trip you take. Once the rider has been dropped off, $1 plus $0.20 per mile traveled will be deducted from the rider’s Avego account and 85% of that will be credited to the driver (capped at $0.55/mile). This makes payment safe, secure and fair. If you’re feeling generous, you can always give your rider a free ride!
Each WeGo Rideshare Community offeres different incentives and runs different competitions, so make sure you have signed up through the either WeGo Marin, WeGo Sonoma or WeGo Contra Costa to get free credits, cool prizes and much more!
Ratings and Profiles
After each trip, the rider and driver are prompted to rate each other out of 5 stars and to leave a review of the trip. When you’re choosing who to rideshare with, click into their profile to see each person’s star rating and the number of times they have been rated beside their name and profile picture. Remember – ratings go from 1 being the worst to 5 being the best, so read through the WeGo Politely and WeGo Safely Pages to keep your rating up!
Make sure you complete your profile so that people will want to choose you!
