We know that safety is a big concern for you, whether you’re driving or riding. That’s why WeGo Rideshare uses Avego technology, which has a whole trolley load of in-built safety features to make sure that those “what if…” situations are driven to extinction! We want you to have a good experience and to make good decisions – here are some of features and tips that will help you.

 

Who am I riding with and from where?

Good question! When you see someone going your way, just click on their name in the list to view a whole list of details on them, including their photo and user rating. So, you can decide who you might like to ride with before ever contacting them to organize your Real-Time Rideshare.

Rating and Matching

That’s right – the power is now in YOUR hands! The Avego RTR Rating System prompts riders and drivers to rate each other at the end of every trip. Mark them down if they don’t WeGo Politely, but remember this rating isn’t for your eyes only, it’s for the entire RTR community. This way when you’re choosing your driver or rider, your fellow RTR buddies are giving you a virtual helping hand by veering you away form the trash-filled car or the driver with serious B.O. issues (ick!) and helping you to have a smooth, hassle-free rideshare.

Payment and Tracking

Cashless payments

No cash is ever passed between the rider and driver. The payment is automatically taken from the rider’s online Avego account and immediately credited to the driver’s Avego account once they drop off the rider using the Avego system. So, no need to flash your wads of $50s while looking for a few bucks to pay your driver, your millions can stay a secret! (Don’t forget, you can always chose to give people a free ride!)

Where did we go?

Every trip taken is logged with GPS to make sure payment is accurate and so drivers and riders can see precisely where they are supposed to meet.

Drive Safe

Driving Safety is extremely important to you so it’s exceptionally important to us! The Avego RTR system uses audio notifications, so once you begin driving there’s no need for drivers to interact with the app until you’ve pulled over to drop off your passenger. Eyes forward please!

Are you really who you say you are?

You arrive at your meet up point, a car pulls up or a rider jumps in, but you wonder – is this really who I’m supposed to be riding with? One way to figure this out is if the driver offers you candy to get in the car – warning bells! But don’t worry, we’ve gone a bit more technical and given each rider a unique PIN for every trip. If you’ve pre-arranged a trip, the driver must enter the PIN from the correct rider. If the system says eh-errr, jump out of that car, you might be taking someone else’s ride! 

Gender matching

The Avego RTR system allows you to search a list of nearby users. Use their profile picture or, in case that’s not obvious (oops!) the m/f in their profile to chose what gender you want to match with. So, whether you think boys are icky, or girls talk too much we don’t really care – but we like to give you the option to choose!

The choice is yours…

Yes, we know our safety features are cool, but the best one is really your own gut feeling. You can chose any rider or driver going your way fro the list, so make sure you look at their star rating and if you’re feeling particularly unsure, you always have the option to only ride with people you already know. So if you feel a grumbling in your belly, just move on to the next match (unless of course you just missed breakfast, then a bagel might be better choice than a new driver…).
