WeGo Rideshare is not like traditional carpool technology that makes you plan days or weeks in advance. Instead, everything is done in real-time, right when you need it, right now. When you’re ready to go to work, for example, just log in to the Avego RTR App and look for riders or drivers in real-time. Then the system matches you with WeGo users going your direction and you have an immediate, real-time commute carpool. Better still, you’ve no commitment to go home with them that evening – just make a brand new real-time carpool when you’re ready to leave work. What is the WeGo Marin Pilot Program?
WeGo Marin is a real-time rideshare program rolling out at major employers, the Larkspur Ferry, and Marin colleges during spring of 2013. Using web and mobile technology, WeGo Marin provides commuters, students, faculty, and staff a convenient and affordable way to share rides through a social network that connects riders and drivers in real-time and in advance.
Program Rewards
Besides being able to get to and from work and school more easily, we also have some special programs going on this spring. From now through April 19, every shared ride is entered into a weekly drawing for up to $100 in prizes, so the more rides you share, the greater your chances of winning! And during that same time period, anyone who shares two or more rides in a week will receive a $5 Starbuck’s gift card.
